ENGLISH FOR TEACHING ENGLISH FOR INTERNATIONAL
PURPOSES
First at all, being an English teacher
is not as simple as the majority of people think about this wonderful and challenging
career; in fact, it has to do with many different aspects such as psychological,
sociological, situational and so forth.
I have been an English teacher in
Ecuador for three years; it has been a big challenge for me since in my country,
there are not too many opportunities to practice the target language due to the
lack of facilities; as a result, it is demanding to have a good English level
with fluency and accuracy
Nowadays it is compulsory to know
English language because it will help people to have better a probabilities in
their lives. Besides, for me as an English teacher, it is necessary to handle
it properly since I will have many benefits such as a good job, good salary and
the most important it is to be an excellent professional.
My expectations for this
international English program are huge; I hope to learn new methods for
teaching English so that I will teach my students with currently approaches; furthermore,
I think that my biggest challenge in the Unites States it is to have an upper English level
with fluency and accuracy which it is hard to obtain
My country has supported me in this
new adventure of my life; I will contribute with my new English knowledge teaching
there; meanwhile, I will continue doing the best in order to get acquainted
with this syllabus

LEARNING TO LEARN
ReplyDeleteAll around the world, people of all ages are learning to speak other languages different from their mother tongues,their reasons can differ greatly.Some people,only learn them because they are on the curriculum at primary or secondary level,but for others ,it reflects some kind of a choice.
In my case,I decided to study English because it is considered like a global language which can be an useful passport to discover different worlds.However,at the beginning it was not so easy because there were some challenges that I had to deal up.As well as,the expensive of studying English and the difficult of getting an acceptable level of learning.
On the other hand,there are important benefits that English can provide.For example:you can obtain an added value which can help to make relevant achievements in different areas,you can know other countries where English is used like a second language and finally you can involve directly in a global communication.
I think that we never learn English completely.Because,it involves a vast variety of knowledge,that we need to discover and practice constantly.At the moment,I would like to develop some important skills such as speaking,writing,listening,and grammar in a considerable way .In a classroom context,I feel I need to develop my communicative language teaching,in order to improve different methodologies which can be implemented in the class.Because,it is necessary to create communicative activities that encourage students to love English.
