LEARNING TO LEARN

Learning a new language is essential nowadays, it gives you the opportunity to set up relations with many people around the world and it improves social and economic relationships. English must be learned in every country. It is the fourth most widely spoken native language in the world and the official language of business, sports and  technology.

I speak English and Spanish so I have experienced myself the advantages of being bilingual.  There are plenty of advantages such as: communicating with people around the world, having accesses to  new information, getting better  job opportunities, etc.
I used to dance folk and I had the opportunity to travel to another places and knew people from other countries. Even thought I didn't speak English very well at that time , I felt great sharing some words with other people. Nowadays, I can keep a long talking with a native English speaker and obviously teach it. I can get new information written in English through the web and share it with my family and friends. Besides I can continue further education.

The challenges of using a language  other than our mother tongue are few, in comparison with the advantages. Probably one of the most difficult is to get fluency. Another one is to feel frustrated or nervous trying to express your ideas in English.
The speaking skill is the most difficult one, some researches have shown that the speaking skill can be developed in  about 5 years or more.
Feeling nervous at speaking time is still one of my challenges, I'm working on it and I hope this time here help me a lot. It is hard to learn the  language at a non-English speaking country. Most children are able to learn a new language easily , then parents should encourage their children to learn it as soon as possible.

I hope to apply all of my knowledge on my classes and inspires my students.I want to guide them and share my experiences and also teach them a good pronunciation.
