SITUATING OURSELVES
Education is considered one of the most controversial issues in the society; Teaching English in Ecuador involves many aspects for example the type of students, school, region . Teachers in Ecuador need to be aware of the national situation where we are immerse.
The English language teacher in Ecuador has to deal with large groups of students in each classroom and most of the time these don´t have access to TICS; lack of some essential tools leads the trainer to turn the class into   traditionalism with lack of innovation. Other fact that the  Ecuadorian teachers have to face is the type of high school where you work if it is a public you for sure will have crowded classes with students of different levels, which represents unfairness for those students who haven´t heard about the language. We could say that in Ecuador the schools are divided in two  opposite sides the public and private, but the teacher in any kind of school has something imperative to do: respect every one of them, their individualisms,  way of thinking and  religious believes.
This is something I learn from the few days I have been here I see that in this society people has differences in accents and places of origin and these are not obstacles to life in harmony. This is what we have to promote in our classes; we have differences but we need to respect one each other.
To sum up as an English language teacher I need to encourage my students to learn a language through a different methodology with a new life value which is respect.
