LEARNING TO LEARN

One of the biggest challenge of using another language is to communicate accurately and fluently. These are two characteristics that people studying English as an International language in non-English speaking countries face every day. Teachers, for instance, need to be constantly updated; however, the lack of contact with the target language reduces the process of becoming accurate and fluent speaker of English.

Nowadays, English is used worldwide and it is beneficial for several reasons: to apply for better work opportunities, to better people's lifestyle, to have access to new technologies in several fields, etc.
English language is very important because it makes people more aware of real situations in the world; moreover, people are committed more seriously about every-day-life in society. Thus, English encompasses people with a globalized world.

In this course, I hope to learn how to improve my English language skills, especially writing. It has become very important for me since I am enrolled in a masters program and soon I will start writing my thesis project. I am sure that this course will be beneficial for this purpose.  Aside of this personal goal, it is also the fact that as English teacher, professional expectations has been set up. I will share my knowledge with my students taking into account different methods and techniques to be applied in the classroom. By this way, I will be able to improve the educational level in my country.
