English has always been seen as a
hard learning and teaching language not only because of its grammar and
phonetics. This is why the majority of the students build a barrier at the
moment of learning English.
With the new techniques I acquired
it will be easy to teach on a different level of education. Knowing that this
language is important, I will concentrate on teaching middle and high school at
Santo Domingo, despite the culture there. Most of the teenagers in this coast region
only think on going out at parties, having boyfriends or girlfriends and having
jobs to earn money, and don’t care about school or English.
As a professor I have to create a good
working environment for my students and for me, besides that I’ll have to
create a great structure plan at teaching that will be transforming.
Each and every one of my students will have to learn for their self’s and don’t
we waiting for the teacher to do all the work, having a high expectative for
all my students. Stimulating without any hard pressure desire to open for them
self’s their minds for the knowledge of this language and how it can be used
around the world. Appling different techniques
such as group work, school plays, games,
spelling bees, sending readings (magazines, movie, news papers, articles) that
we can talk about them making it easy to learn and without them realizing they
will have learned grammar, phonetics improving
their skills at listening, speaking, writing, reading. Personally I
would do research, read more, and use assessing sources, and been on constant
preparation.
